Car history: |
Exterior: The exterior paint is in decent driver condition. The paint overall has a very nice gloss. There are no chips or scratches in the paint. Conversely, the quality of the paintjob is not the best. The body on the other hand is in nice condition. Many "rubber bumper" Corvettes suffer from ill-fitting and shrunken front and rear bumpers. This is not the case with this car as the bumpers as well as the rest of the car exhibit good body fit. The beauty rings have no curb rash and a nice finish. The car has a solid frame and birdcage with no rust issues.
Interior: The interior of this Corvette is in nice condition. The seats are as pictured and are basically brand new. The front carpet is also virtually brand new with no stains, rips, or hole. The carpet on the doors is not as nice as the other front carpet. The cargo area is in decent condition as pictured. The console is as pictured in nice condition. The car has not been smoked in, there are no burn marks or aroma. The car also has a brand new aftermarket stereo system with CD, amp, and subwoofer.
Mechanical: The Corvette runs very well. The motor starts well, idles well, and is very powerful. It is a GM 350 crate engine that, according to the pervious owner, was new when he installed it in the car 2 years ago and been used very little since. The 3 Speed transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car is tight on the road and highway and also brakes strongly and straight. All of the gauges work with the exception of the clock, which is a very common issue.. The air conditioning system is not functional, the speedometer makes a clicking noise, and the headlights need a bit of help to get up and down.
Overall Condition: Overall the Corvette is in good driver condition. The vehicle would make an excellent driver and is a very desirable color combination. Most of the original paperwork and manual that came with the car new are still with it today. This body style has increased in price rapidly over the past few years. They are now over 25 years old and will continue to increase in time. One could easily buy this car now, enjoy it for a few years, and sell it for more than the purchase price. Please feel free to call or email with any questions and thank you for looking.
