BiN $79,000 but no longer available on May 2, 2018. 1) Nice easy life Northern California rust free factory big block / 4-speed / side exhaust, Daytona Yellow (984) Black vinyl (ZQ4) Corvette coupe, born November 1968. Frame-on restoration near completion. Only a few miles on newly rebuilt motor (more precise details available), trans, clutch, brakes, differential, half shafts, radiator, fuel tank and more. Windows / interior out respray in original Daytona Yellow with most all body seals and weather stripping replaced including T Tops, doors, windows, etc. NOM due to original block cylinder head crack, now 454 block (but built to original 390 spec). All engine components that could be used or rebuilt were, including manifold, carburator, valve covers, air cleaner, distributor, exhaust manifolds, etc. All other #'s on this car match and are original including things like correctly dated AZ rally wheels, side pipe covers, all suspension, 4-speed, all glass, etc. All the items special to a big block car like 5600 rpm tach, front and rear sway bars, rear springs thickness, radiator, half shafts are all present, correct and original. Chrome bumpers are original and in very good shape, as is all the other chrome on the car which includes original air cleaner and valve covers. Some very minor pitting here and there, but just enough to know they are original. Side exhaust have been stripped and will need plated or polished (I polished one already, but not thoroughly). Low factory options car, but it does have the one that's hard to live without, factory power steering. The front lights pop up nicely and everything works on the car, but the windshield wipers are not operating correctly. Interior is all original (including seat covers and headrests) except for carpet, which is correct, but new. This is the main area the car needs re-assembled. I started pulling interior to do a better job at installing the new carpets. Also, the center console Black back setting had been stripped at some point and needs repainted. Interior is really nice condition with no dash cracks or harsh sun damage. This is consistent with the overall general condition of this car. No rust in frame or birdcage. No doubt a garaged CA car most, if not all its life. Car runs and drives great, but does need factory style side exhaust installed before side covers can be installed properly. This is a great opportunity to own a very nice big block C3, and because it lacks a build sheet / records, is a great price level on a rare car you can enjoy. Car comes complete minus trim rings, rt. fender top trim piece, correct style exhaust and spare. With about a weekends worth of attention, this car will be done.
