1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, Numbers Matching, 327 C.I.D. V-8 300 H.P. 4 SPEED! This is a great running & driving car as it sits right now. The current owner for the past 10 years, kept this sweetheart in storage and put probably less than 5,000 on it. The car has 66,963 showing on the odometer, and the owner believes this to be original miles. This is an overall driver quality, not a show car. A good detailer could make it look at little better with some touch up to the chips and a good polish to make it shine. The Interior: The interior had new carpet installed in 2012. You will see in the pictures that it should have seat covers, they aren't bad though, the driver's side had a little rip in the upper that has a synthetic temporary mend. The door panels The convertible top is pretty good with an imperfection or two, it should clean up fine, the rear window is a little yellowed but can sometimes polish out. In the pictures you will notice that it is a little wrinkled, but the current owner never used it, never out in inclement weather. The dash pad is nice, as well as the rest of the interior trim, and all of the gauges appear to be operational. The Exterior and Underside: This is a 1968 model vehicle that the trim tag indicates it was originally British Green and now a Polar White. We are not sure when this re-paint occured. There are no signs of any extensive work being done on it, no apparent frame work, or anything. The paint as stated is not show car quality, it is as driven quality with several knicks/chips in the paint, touch up would help but the fanatic would want to likely paint this one. The bumpers are really good, not perfect but appear original. However if you want a driver and not a $40K show car, this one is perfect for you! The wipers and cowl mechanism work appropriately, as well as the hideway headlights. The hardtop, in excellent condition, and cart are included. The Powertrain: This one is ready to go, drive it home from Franksville, WI on a nice day with top down! This is a numbers matching 327 cui / 300 horsepower 4 speed car! This car goes down the road A-1, the motor purrs, and had new mufflers installed, however it does have an 1/8 hole in one exhaust pipe near the muffler. The clutch/transmission operate as they should. The brakes are good in it, with recently having new pads installed along with new hoses in the rear. It also had a new steering stabilizer shock installed. The 15 rally wheels have good trim rings with just superficial scratches and nice center caps. The tires are 75 per cent+ and not dry rotted! Drive it home! What you can expect: Plain and simple - This is a used car. Its not perfect, its not a 6,000 mile flawless car. There are some minor blemishes likely here or there that may not show up on pictures. Any prospective buyer should inspect this car. Its not all original, no indication or reports of any accidents, only a color change. You can look around and find this particular Corvette for anywhere from $15,000 to $40,000.
