2) 1969 Chevy Corvette with 427 Big Block matching numbers car, second paint, rear automatic transmission, factory side pipes, hard/soft top convertible. Car comes with books and papers. Amazing car MUST GO! BiN $49,999 (Ended) on October 28, 2017. 1) 1969 Corvette 427-390 HP Auto Convertible (both tops). This corvette was originally from Florida and sold in 1992 to the second owner who resides here in Minnesota. This car is an unmolested original matching numbers car which was put in long term heated storage due to the new owner health issues for approximately 18 years. I have known this owner for over 30 years, and assisted him by checking over this car before his original purchase. As a former GM mechanic, I also assisted with the maintenance of this car until it was put on blocks and stored in about 1996 and with correct storage the frame and under carriage still look great! I had the opportunity to purchase the car in 2014, and have since replaced the belts, hoses, coolant, and thermostat, also brake calipers, master cylinder, brake pads, and tuned the car, rebuilt the carburetor, drained and cleaned the fuel tank. As expected the headlights, wipers, turn signals, radio and clock are all functioning. The chrome bumpers are excellent. Also last Fall I replaced the tires with new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's mounted on the original 8 inch rally wheels. This car is also a rare side pipe car, with the correct rear exhaust panel. The owner had the side pipes removed because of the enhanced noise level; he wanted to hear the sound of the 427 engine. This car is documented to have less than 4,000 miles added since 1992, as verified by records and the oil change sticker on the driver's door. I would honestly rate this car as a very strong Number 3, as the repaint in the correct color was done before 1992. It still shows very well. The original interior has no rips or tears as evidenced in the photos. The car comes with both tops as shown in the pictures, plus a car cover. It runs and drives as it should it's very road worthy, and the buyers will be excited about how powerful this 427 car is. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is F21. 92,742 miles from the odometer. $20,100 and running (RnM). June 7, 2015. |
