Car history: |
3) Numbers matching 1969 chevy corvette stingray, black, t-tops, 4 speed 350. I have had the car for about 2 years and drive it locally when I have time. I have not had any mechanical problems and have entered into 2 local car shows and placed both times. This is definitely not the car for serious collectors looking for show cars. It is not perfect but more than good enough for driving, enjoying and local shows and events. When I bought the car it was not registered. I had the VIN verified (the engine matches the body) and applied for and received a new clear title. The car is currently registered, insured and I still drive it to local car hang outs. When I have time. I did have some work done to it just to make sure it was safe to drive. Here is what I had done: changed fluids (synthetic oil, coolant, upper and lower hose and new hose clamps), had suspension re-done (front end kit, link kit rear, drive shaft rebuilt, shocks, strut rods and rear axle rods), ignition coil, overhauled carb, emergency brake, magnaflow mufflers, all new vacuum hoses for headlights and wipers, spare tire lock bolt kit. Had new tires and rims put on but have the original tires and rims which are in good condition- both sets go with sale of car. Here are a few problems pointed out by my mechanic (and some that you can see for yourself): There is some rust on the top frame under where the right t-top sits. When I wash the car you get some drops inside but not a big leak. The car is garaged and I live in Arizona so not a problem for me. There is a small crack in the fiberglass on the rear next to the right side chrome bumper (from the spare tire holder, which is why I replaced the spare tire lock bolt kit). The paint looks great from a few feet but you can see some imperfections and chips when closely inspected. When I picked up the car, all the electrical worked. When the mechanic was replacing the vacuum hoses and went to connect the new relay switch for the wipers he found that the electrical components (clock, wiper relay, etc.) were not connected correctly. The power windows are tempermental also. He told me I could get a new wiring harness for about 3,000 and just wire everything in correctly. I told him to hold off because it didn't effect driving the vehicle and I could do that later. Now I need the money for other things so I decided to sell the car. The speedometer and headlights do work. The A/C unit was taken out before I purchased vehicle. It runs great with no leaks. Again, I am not a mechanic and I have mentioned everything I am aware of. The car is 43 years old and not perfect but it is a lot of fun and does run well. I just took it out (January 15th 2012) to go for a pre lunch ride and it put me in a good mood all day. 76,686 miles from the odometer. $19,500. January 22, 2012. 2) ALL MATCHING #'S 350/350 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL A/C CAR. PREVIOUS OWNER HAD IT REMOVED. I DO NOT HAVE THE A/C. NEW BLACK PAINT. THE CAR WAS PAINTED 1 YEAR AGO, $7,000. LOOKS AND SHINES GREAT WITH STRAIGHT BODY AND GOOD LINES. NEW SEAT COVERS WERE JUST INSTALLED. INTERIOR SHOWS REALLY NICE for the exception of the passenger side speaker vent on the top of the dash (look at the picture) is cracked about the size of a nickel. NEW GOOD YEAR TIRES. THIS VETTE RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. ALL GUAGES WORK, CLOCK WORKS, HEAD LIGHT DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE AS THEY SHOULD. BRAKES WORK GREAT. PARKING BRAKE ALSO WORKS GREAT. THE CAR STARTS UP WITH THE FIRST TURN OF THE KEY. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS AND GOES INTO ALL GEARS AS IT SHOULD. THIS IS A GOOD DAILY DRIVER OR TAKE TO LOCAL SHOWS. NEW ALUMINUM RADIATOR, CAR RUNS COOL. $25,000. 76,439 miles from the odometer. May 14, 2010. 1) I have decoded this 1969 Corvette and posted the numbers and dates clearly on the pictures. This is a Numbers Matching car with power steering & factory Tee-Tops. Powered by the original L46 350ci 350hp V8 and the original Muncie M21 4-speed transmission as well. This Corvette, although not a show car, is a nice car and a great driver. The starter hangs up once in a while, but it does have excellent power and shifts great through the gears. From the factory this was a Riverside Gold Corvette and has been painted Red sometime in its life and now is beautiful Black. The interior is factory Black and is in great condition with newer carpet. Some of the items that are not working are the: tach, speedo, radio and wipers. Fresh out of storage! Again, this is a nice, drivable Corvette and just needs some tinkering to be a great car. 76,437 miles. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is B09. Motor suffix code is V0904HW. October 16, 2009. |
