I THEN REINSTALLED & REWORKED ALL COMPONENTS WHICH WERE REMOVED DURING THE PAINT PROCESS. IE; DOORS, HEADLIGHTS, DECK LID, WIPER DOOR ASSY, REAR & SIDE VENTS, REAR VALANCE, INTERIOR CARPET ETC. NOTE; ALL COMPONENT WERE REINSTALLED USING ORIGINAL HARDWARE WITH PROPER HEAD MARKS & FINISHES. THEN WE REFINISHED THE CHASSIS WHICH STILL HAD SOME OEM PAINT STILL ON IT, REBUSHING & PAINTED THE FRONT END (ORIG. BALL JOINTS ARE STILL GOOD & RIVETTED IN PLACE). THE STEERING IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH ITS ORIGINAL PS PUMP, TIE ROD ENDS, SLEEVES & CLAMPS. ALL WAS REFINISHED!!! THE TRAILARMS, REAR SPRING, REAR END, FRONT SPRINGS ETC....ALSO THE CHASSIS & SUSPENSION COMPONENTS WERE REMARKED WITH THEiR OEM INSPECTION MARKS. UNDER THE BODY HAS BEEN CLEANED & THE TRANS. TUNNEL, 68L-69E HEAT SHIELDS & SPLASH SHIELDS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THIS CAR WAS DONE RIGHT! THIS IS A LATE PRODUCTION 1968 BUILT JUNE 17,68 WHICH HAS MANY OF THE ENGINEERING UPDATES & IS ALMOST THE 1969 MODEL. THE ONLY STRUCTURAL UPGRADE MISSING, I CAN TELL, IS THE EXTRA TRIANGULAR BRACES WHICH WERE ADD TO THE ENDS OF THE REAR HEADLIGHT BRACE & TO THE FRONT OF THE INNER FENDERS IN THE NOSE. THE ENGINE & ITS COMPARTMENT WERE REPAINTED IN CORRECT FINISHES. ORIGINAL HARNESSES & VACUUM HOSES WERE CLEANED AND LAYED OUT TO MATCH FACTORY ASSEMBLY. PROPER NUMBERED AND DATED COMPONENTS WERE REINSTALLED TO COMPLETION. THIS CAR IS SO ORIGINAL THAT IT EVEN HAS THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS & THE KEYS FOR THE DOORS MATCH THE IGNITION & THE REAR CENTER GLOVE BOX KEY MATCHES THE SPARE TIRE LOCK! THE BLACK CONVERTIBLE TOP IS ALSO DATED 5 68 & IS BEING INSTALLED. SO THE TOP IS NEW! I'VE USED THIS CAR ONLY A FEW HUNDRED MILES & I CAN TELL YOU IT RUNS & DRIVES LIKE A NEW CAR! 55,525 miles.
