1) Genuine classic 1968 steel bumper Corvette convertible that has undergone and is still under going a ground up restoration. The odometer has 2.0 miles which is accurate especially when you look at all the new parts, including a refreshed odometer and 6K tachometer. This car was built on December 27, 1967 according to the frame numbers. Bottom line: You wont find a better 1968 corvette project to finish than this one. A classic corvette with Barrett Jackson potential read on. This time capsule has a refreshed original numbers matching 327 motor with 350 hp with original four-barrel carburetor and like 80% of the 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 1972, classic corvettes of this decade this one has its numbers matching four-speed transmission. In fact, this Corvettes body, frame, engine, and transmission are all numbers matching and meticulously been put together as an original as parts became available. Let me plug the benefit of eBay here in that it has a great source for corvette parts. You will need to find an original air cleaner and some emblems which will most certainly show up on eBay eventually. A highlight of this offer is that the motor and transmission have less than 3 miles on each. It comes with the original rear end; rust free bird cage; new exhaust and so many new things it is impossible to list. Even the door chimes/ buzzers and interior lights operate. This is truly a muscle car because it doesnt have the power options like power brakes and steering. The interior comes with NEW (not installed), matching blue seat covers, seat cushions, carpet, center console, dash pad, door panels, and a black top in a box. The problem is that you will need to install some of these items. It also has new clutch and brake pedals installed. The windshield, rear and door glass are all intact without cracks. The exterior was recently stripped, sealed and painted the original paint color (lemans blue). The paint is presentable; however, it will need to be redone to a higher quality for car shows. This body off frame restoration means rust issues does not exist on the bottom of this corvette. It has the original AM/FM Corvette Radio (condition unknown) with a refreshed instrument package. It has Factory Corvette Rally Wheels. The blue stripe tires are new. Look at the pictures and you will see all the new items and many more details of this restoration. This wouldnt take much to be driven while your restore. Everything works! This car is a potential NCRA candidate. April 3, 2008. 2) I DON'T KNOW IT'S A CAR THAT I BOUGHT TO FINISH AND VIRTUALLY PUT THOUSANDS IN AND IT LOOKS TO BE A GREAT REFLEcTION OF HOW THE 1968 CORVETTE WAS NEW. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A GENTLEMEN WHOSe FRIEND DID ALL THE BEGINNINGS OF THIS MASTERPIECE. HE STARTED WITH THE FRAME ON THE FLOOR AND BUILT IT PIECE BY PIECE EVERY NUT AND BOLT HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED INDIVIDUALLY.OH BY THE WAY THIS IS A TOTAL MATCHING NUMBERS CAR WITH 3 MILES ON THE DRIVETRAIN MOTOR TRANS AND REAR. ANYWAY, IT'S A 327 CUBIC IN 350 HP MOTOR WITH A MUCIE M21 ALL NEWLY REBUILT!! I GOT THE CAR IT WAS ALL ASSEMBLED UP TO THE STAGE OF PAINTING AMND INTERIOR ALONG WITH SOME ENGINE DRESS UP. THE PAINT THAT WAS DONE BEFORE I GOT IT WASN'T THE QUALITY OF THE CAR. SO WE TOOK IT DOWN TO THE FIBERGLASS AND STARTED OVER. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS LeMANS BLUE SO WE CROSS REFERENCED IT TO A BASE COAT CLEAR COAT THAT I WOULD SAY IS A STRONG 9.5 10 BEING PERFECT. ALL THE INTERIOR IS NEW OUT OF THE BOX, IT HAS A NEW AL KNOCK CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE WHOLE TOP MECHANISM HAS BEEN REBUILT WITH ALL NEW WEATHERSTRIPPING ON THE WHOLE CAR. I MIGHT ADd NOTHING HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED ON THIS CAR IT EVEN HAS ALL NEW WIRING SWITCHES DOOR HANDLES, EMBLEMS ALONG WITH LIKE I SAID EVERY PIECE UNDER THE CAR EITHER REBUILT OR NEW. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RADIO WITH NEW KNOBS BUT DIDN'T WANT TO INSTALL IT BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE REBUILT TO THE QUALITY OF EVERYTHING ELSE. I HAVE A LIFT SO YOU CAN SEND A INSPECTOR OR COME EVALUATE YOURSELf. BE ADVISED THIS CAR HAS 3 MILES ON IT. IT'S NOT A RESTORED PIECE OF JUNK THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE THE NICEST 68 CORVETTE YOU WILL EVER SEE. NO RUST ISSUES EVER. I HAVE A CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE. Colors from the trim plate. May 12, 2008. |
