Have had a lot a questions about the title and VIN number so I have added them they are: VIN # 194379S730855 and the Montana Title # is W358480. 1969 Corvette Stingray. Project car... Small block 350 (not original) / Original T-400 AT /3.08 Posi. Owned since 1989, Over 9K invested. Had Body off (see pictures), replaced Radiator, brake lines, fuel lines, (1)T-arm, bushings, U joints, Front clip, inner fenders, etc. Also replaced the Frame which resulted in a Salvage title (Verified by Montana Highway Patrol). For you Corvette guys, there are interesting LT-1 pieces on this car (Tach and Console data plate) but not much in the way of documentation. The vehicle has not been started in a number of years and it is not in drivable condition. Clear Title- yes Its a Montana Title as I used to live there. I also have all the frame documentation as well as a ton of receipts. Motor ran 15 years ago Probably would start. Its out of an Impala I believe. Its nothing special neither are the heads. The intake/Carb are correct Corvette pieces. As are the exhaust manifolds. Transmission is the T-400 that came with the car (Serial number matches VIN) they are known for their durability. I would guess this one would need to be serviced just to make sure its good to go Suspension Car sits well on existing Springs Both Front and rear. Most of the bushings were replaced 20 years ago along with tie rods u joints etc Car was never aligned after just ran out of time. Rear end near as I can tell its OK. I did replace one trailing arm and would suggest repacking all the wheel bearings (Front and rear). Brakes Lines were all new so are pads but rotors need to be turned or replaced. Might be good to replace the master cylinder as well (just because). Everything needs to be bled Fuel lines were all new Tank was replaced as well. I would plan to spend some time cleaning the fuel system since it sat so long with some fuel in it. Body is pretty good. The car was in a rust environment in upstate New York when purchased (which is why the frame was replaced). Headlights/rear bumpers etc.. I have the headlights but when the car was purchased the front clip was off due to an accident. Most of those pieces are damaged. Recommend planning to get a complete assembly. Could re-chrome the rear bumpers (they are straight) and/or look for replacements.. I have the lower rear panel as well it has a crack in the fiberglass that could be fixed. The frame is out of a 71. Purchased from Butch Calm corvette's. The work was done 20 years ago but the car has never been driven since. It's just sat since 1989. I still have the receipt. The 71 frame was/is rust free. I've never had the frame checked to see if it was straight. But when I was putting things back together everything lined up and the car sits on it's suspension very nicely. Supposedly Butch Calm's put it on their machine and it checked good but I can't prove it. 5,322 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the owner. Built date is N29. April 25, 2010. |
