| 1971 Corvette Stingray with 454 This car has been in my family for 15 yrs. This car is a beauty. The car runs great and drives good. This is such a fun car to drive. Definately a head turner. The color is the original color, War Bonnet Yellow, the interior color is Saddle Leather. This car placed in many car show's in the 90's. Factory Back Window pops out Tilt telescopic wheel 454 engine Factory horsepower 365 350 AT A/C (air works), Fan switch on HI does not, all other speeds work) Power Steering, works Power windows, works Rear Window Defroster, works Wipers work Engine has very slow oil leak (has ever since we bought the car) 1970 big block Corvettes came from the factory with chrome valve covers, 71's did not, even though this is a '71. It's a Dec. 1970 built car which means it has the chrome valve covers. Details about the outside of car: Body and paint job is in good condition with a few flaws which are noted below and refer to pictures. Hood on passenger side has about 8 small paint bubbles (see pic). Small cluster of paint bubbles on back deck behind rear window (see pic). Piece on driver side by windshield is loose (see pic). Two flaws on passenger fender (see pic). Two places on windshield (see pic). Scratches on driver t-top (see pic). Driver window has scratches. When parked on unlevel ground driver window rubs door jam (see pic). Driver headlight comes up with no problem but passenger one has to be pulled up. All lights and gauges work. Blinkers only work when headlights are OFF. Below are details on the interior: I would describe the interior in great shape for it's years. Passenger seat shows some wear with no tears. Driver seat shows leather rubs but no tears. Door panels, carpet and everything else looks great. Kenwood cassette playe.r I do have the t-top covers and the original hub caps. I have an envelope of reciepts of things that have been done to car. I have a 1971 Assembly Manual and a few other Corvette books that go with the car. Overall this car is in great shape. It has been garage kept with car cover. We do not drive it in the rain or snow. I would rate it an 8 on a scale of 1-10. Please feel free to call me with questions. Scott 615-464-3800 |
