Car history: |
This is a 1968 Corvette. i built it from the frame out in the late 1980. the car has 4,123 miles on it since I finished it. Here are a list of things i did: Motor: Motor is a 4 bolt mains and was completely balanced and blue printed. solid lifter cams, high compression pistons, we also did some head work with an Edelbrock manifold (I believe the "Victor"). and a new Holly 650 carb. It has a aluminium flywheel and duel disk clutch. the suspension & drive train: Doug Nash 5 speed transmission, all custom drive shafts, and a completely custom rearend with 411 gears. it was heavy duty leaf springs, coil springs, and sway bars. It has Koni shocks. Everthing was replaced on the car, upper and lower arms, ball joints, nuts and bolts, everthing! I also made the cross beam on the frame by the transmission removable to make it easier to replace the motor. Other items: Custom paint (still amazing looking). It has 1969 doors with power windows (seem to be slow), custom molded gauges, custom hood, custom roll bar with latching cross bars for easy entry to car. we removed the windshield wipers and put most of the electrical and vacuum lines in the well to clean up the engine compartment. all new door panels, dash, door rubber, carpets and upholstery (when I built the car 20 years ago) still in excellent condition. New front tires, the rear are old and need to be replaced. Issues: Cracked windshield, a few small chips on paint (see pics), interior needs some TLC, just a few screws and finish work, some electrical issues, but basic stuff, get the light to lift which is a vacuum issue, shouldn't be too bad since they worked before. Note: I will try to deal with some of these issues but I may not have the time. This is a beautiful car and I put my heart into it when I built it, like a said with a little TLC you will have a fun, fast, and great looking car! Colors from the owner. January 27, 2009. |
