1) FACTORY A/C - POWER WINDOWS - TILT WHEEL - AND REAR DEFROST!! Here is the story on the car which we all know, every car has a story. I bought the car from an older gentleman that finally decided he would never get to restoring it. He had a collection of vehicles but I got there towards the end, and I bought a 1950 Chevy and this Corvette. I bought the cars to get them running and pass them on to its new owner. Love finding homes for cars like this. When I bought the car, the owner had installed a new carpet, new tray lids and stopped. He DA'ed the vehicle to get it ready for body work, but stopped and it sat for a number of years in a storage pole barn only started periodically. The car was repainted years ago in the 80's. I had it towed to my shop to where I got it running. It didn't need much, just a batter and fresh gas and a shot of starting fluid. The longer the car runs, the better it sounds and performs. I cut the paint and brought back a shine but it will need to be repainted to become show quality. There are a few areas that need attention. Front driver's fender has about a 4 inch crack and the back lip above the tail lights needs attention. The door jamb sills are missing and the passenger side sail panel is missing. Also the passenger side bumperette is missing under the main bumper. It had new chrome rear bumpers and the front bumper looks new. The previous owner could not find them. There are a lot of parts that come with the car including the seat belts, the original radio and valve covers. Also trim screws, wiring diagram and much more. The engine is a Corvette 350 but not a numbers matching engine. The owner prior to the guy I got it from said he rebuilt the engine and added performance parts. The longer the car run, the better it feels. So I would recommend changing all the fluids, a full tune up and set the timing and you'll have a much better running Vette on your hands. The brakes are good and stop the car ok, and the tires are fairly new. I did not go through the electricals, I'll leave that up to the buyer. I, for a brief moment, thought I was going to be the one to restore the car, but I was only kidding myself. I stopped after I put a new wiper motor on it. I'm not the guy to complete the car. I'm searching for the guy who always wanted a c3 but didn't want to pay the high price for one. At NO RESERVE, you can own this car for a very affordable price! This car has good bones and is in pretty good shape for being 48 years old. Its a great start and with the right know how, you'll have a Vette worth so much more then what you'll have in it. ENGINE CASTING NUMBER 3970010. Sold for $10,300 on November 26, 2017. |
