11/20/2013 Mileage: 15,000 miles Beautiful 1973 Corvette, with matching numbers drive train and factory colors. 350, auto, AC, PS, leather, factory AM/FM, new carpet throughout. Recent very high quality bright yellow base/clear paint over an excellent body, with no bonding lines, cracking, or other typical fiberglass flaws. Everything on the outside was replaced when painted, including door handles, emblems, chrome bumpers, luggage rack, exhaust tips and bezels, Corvette lettering, outside mirror, chrome license brackets, trim rings, and new BFG Radial TA tires. Also has all new vacuum light hardware, and they work properly, as do all of the exterior lights on the car. T-tops fit perfectly, and go on, off, and lock with ease.
Engine is numbers-matching, completely original, and has been nicely detailed. It even still has the original smog pump, which is belted and working.
Interior is the original deluxe dark saddle leather in very good condition, with only minimal wear, and no rips or tears. All gauges are in working order except the tach, which is common on C3s. Door panels and dash pad are very nice. Lower part of dash on passenger side near corner is cracked. AM/FM is the original unit, and has not been cut or otherwise monkeyed with. Radio actually works, but the original speakers need replaced.
Car runs and drives very well. Starts easily, choke works, idles smooth, and runs, drives, and stops as it should. Transmission shifts smoothly and correctly. Undercarriage is original, solid, but unrestored.
This is a beautiful Vette that is even more striking in person. It would be perfect as a weekend cruise night car and boulevard cruiser. A perfect fit for the new Corvette enthusiast who wants something beautifully finished, original, and reliable, but not so perfect that it commands stratospheric prices. |
