Car history: |
This car has been sitting for about two years. The tires are probably about twenty years old and it will need some work before it is road worthy. We installed a new battery and fresh gas and it fired right up. It starts, runs, shifts through the gears and stops. I would however suggest that the car be trailered away. Original custom 1970's - 80's Street Machine 1968 Chevy C3 Corvette Stingray Convertible with removable hardtop. Originally a big block 427 / 4 speed manual transmission car but now has a later 454 in it. The bock has been decked, so there is no engine serial number left to identify what year the block is. The casting number is: 14015445. This Corvette was built in September of 1967 and was originally British Green (paint code 983) with a black vinyl interior. It has been painted a couple of times and has fender flares. The paint is old and has the typical scratches and chips. The drivers door does not open easily and the interior door handle is missing. The interior of the car is old and will need some work. It has a telescoping steering column but it does not work. The vacuum operated headlight assemblies do not work either. The correct wood steering wheel is there but cracked. The power windows work but operate slowly. This is a manual steering car but does have power brakes. The car has cool Hooker header /sidepipe assemblies which sound great. It also has very nice vintage aluminum 15 inch Turbine wheels. Comes with a clear Michigan title. No bid at starting $12,500 on February 19, 2017. |
