Car history: |
1) This is an original engine 1969 4-spd Corvette Convertible. It has its original matching number 350/300hp engine. Both the engine and the 4-spd transmission have been rebuilt. The frame on the car is beautiful. In fact the body has been off the frame at one point and the frame was sandblasted and painted. It has a lot of new suspension components both in the front end and in the rear, along with new body mounts. All four calipers are brand new along with the clutch and gas tank. The car was painted back to its original color of code 988 Burgundy. The paint is very nice above average driver quality. There are also new door panels, new carpeting, new console and a new rear storage compartment behind the seats. The seat covers are weak and the car needs the new convertible top fabric installed, which is included with the sale. I also have a new set of corvette letters for the rear of the car. The top frame is good. The car runs and drives well. Most of the gauges work including the tach. Headlights work well, but the wiper door needs to be manually opened for the wipers to work. Overall, this is a very good matching number 4-spd 1969 convertible that has had the body off the frame. It has new paint, mostly new interior and an excellent frame. Although it still needs a little work, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. Sold for $20,500 on March 1, 2018. |
