1968 Chevrolet Corvette C3 CONVERTIBLE in Left Hand Drive with MATCHING NUMBERS! Specifications: 1968 Big Block 427 cu inch V8 400 horsepower in original Left Hand Drive, Factory original Turbo-Jet Tri-Power fuel system through 3 x 2 barrel, Holley carburettors, 3 speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, Power steering, Telescopic Steering Column, Posi rear end, Power brakes, Paint and interior Colour Code correct. Engine Pad Number IO 8291018S400185 (you will note these are MATCHING NUMBERS..very rare!). Manifold Number Inlet 3919850 Exhaust 3880828. Cylinder head casting 3917215. Block casting 3916321. Restoration work completed includes: Full respray in original Rally Red duco, Complete overhaul of braking system including callipers, rotors and lines. New leather interior including new dashboard and door panels. New carpets. New door seals all round. New convertible roof with new seals all round. New windscreen. New shock absorbers, ball joints and bushes as necessary. Transmission serviced by Rowell & Searle Automotive. Transmissions of Adelaide who commented it was in excellent condition. (Documentation is available). New rear deck chrome luggage rack. New chrome bumpers as required. New exhaust system to manifold. New battery box. New fuel tank. New fuel pump. New large radiator (essential for Australian conditions). Tyres are as new. Original instrumentation. Original restored steering wheel is included. 1968 Corvette Owner's manual comes with the car. All parts renewed are either OEM where at all possible or Ecklers reproduction quality replacements. Radio is a Kenwood KDC 328 with Jensen speakers resting in the luggage compartment. There are NO speaker holes or molestation of the trim panels of any kind. The car enjoys Historic Registration in South Australia until September 2010. We do not have any written historical service documentation as we believe the vehicle was part of a divorce settlement in the US and one of the parties was not prepared to have the books etc come with the car. Recent expenditure receipts etc. are of course available. There is no question that this is a highly desirable machine for those who really know their Corvettes. It runs particularly well with excellent oil pressure and the exhaust note is nothing short of stunning. December 27, 2009. |
