Car history:
1972 Corvette T-Top 454 This is NOT a numbers-matching car.
I am unfortunaly selling this Covette that I have been working on (off and on) for the last 6 years and am selling it because I am moving and could use the money.
This car still needs a good amount of work and is considered a "project car".
This Corvette is a fabulous car for the right person and a ton of this vehicle has had almost zero wear (accept for sitting around under a car cover).
I had this vehicle painted about 5 years ago-there are probably 100 miles travelled with the paint and the rest of the time it has been garaged with a car cover. Paint has a clear coat and looks good. The body is totally straight. There is a small area on the passenger side headlight cover where the paint has worn to the primer from rubbing against the body as the light pops up.
Exhaust and 2 chamber Flowmasters new and installed about 4 years ago.
Frame is in very good shape, no major rust.
The carpet, summit racing seats, 5-point belts, and door panels were replaced about 5 years ago. I believe the dash is original and is in v. good condition, although the small center console cover around the emergency brake handle could be replaced. Lastly the panels for the roof and T Tops are also in great condition.
The motor does not run very well right now since the carburator has problems...so it curently runs like crap although internally it was built well. I imagine a new carburator would solve the problem. The motor was built for me new about 5 years ago and has only a couple hundred miles on it. I have not had it dino tested but my guess would be in the high 400 HP area. . The Camshaft is a Summit brand cam and the largest they made. I believe the size is .540/.540. I spent alot of money having the heads machined. I don't remember specs. but I know they are quality. The pushrods are expensive Comp. Cams heat treated rods.
Brand new battery. Gas tank has been professionally cleaned.
The suspension is from Corvette America. When I purchased it they called it a "Stage III Suspension". This car has a fiberglass mono-spring, a new large front sway bar, a new rear sway bar, "competition" strut rods (they are monsters!!). I have brand new big block front coil springs that have not been installed before. New springs also came with the Stage III suspension kit.
The chrome is all in pretty good condition and alot of the brackets under the car were new when I purchased the vehicle 6 years ago.
The tires have about 100 miles on them.
Transmision is either an m-21 or m-20-as I cannot remember.
There are a number of things that will need to be done inorder to have this car complete.

The vehicle needs:
Have the chrome trim installed/attached. I have some (not all) of the trim
Attach the chrome tips to exhaust. I only have one of them
Car needs the door cover over the gas tank lid
Car needs weather stripping
The master cylinder needs to be installed (and that should solve the braking issue but no guarantees)-I do have the new master cylinder
The rear interior compartments (3) need to be installed and I do not have them
The windshield wipers don't work
The windshield wiper panel needs to be attached and have the racing stripe painted on
The rear vents need to be screwed on and have a small portion of the racing stripe painted on each.
Most of the guages don't function...I haven't addressed the issue so I don't know what needs to be done. The spedometer does work though.
The Carb needs to be tuned
The hood needs to be alligned
The front grill needs to be installed and I only have a couple of the pieces
The power windows were working perfectly a few months ago...and then they stopped. I never looked into it.
The new front springs haven't been installed yet
Hood needs to be painted
Outer rings of the rally wheels are needed
Interior needs the front kick panels
The turn signal lights work, but they are just hanging down-they are not in the proper position.
The brakes are manual (which I like), but the master cylinder is letting air in gradually. So, I have a NEW master cylinder-I just have not installed it yet. There is no brake fluid leaking anywhere. Some chrome trim needs to be added to the vehicle (alot of which I don't have), and the rear interior compartment doors need to be added. The windshield wipers do not work in their present state. Lastly, some of the guages have not been hooked up, do not work, or their fuses are just blown, I don't know as I have not looked into them yet.

The rear window is not with the car. I believe it is in storage and if I can find it I will have it shipped to the winning bidder...but for now assume it doesn't come with the car.

The hood obviously does not match the rest of the car. I installed the 454 and realized it would not fit under the original hood (which I dont' have anymore) so I swapped it for the big block hood. It will be very easy to match the white and metallic blue colors.
