This car has a branded title as Rebuilt Flood Damaged Vehicle.
In the state of Indiana it can have a license plate as titled.

I bought it last year in an insurance online auction. I fell in love with it. I wanted a
true red car and I probably paid too much. My plan was to restore it to make it
my baby, but I have another project that I want to purchase, so my red dream needs to go.

It is a really nice driving car.
The white convertible top has a tear, so it needs a new top.
The paint has small bubbles.
It needs a 100 percent restoration.
Some of the gauges do not work.

It has the following new;
New speedometer cable
New odometer cable
New starter
New emergency brake handle
Newly installed Corvette aftermarket radio
The tires are like brand new with nice white letter tires.

I do not like luggage racks on Corvettes, so I took the luggage rack off and planned
to have the holes filled in with fiberglass and painted. The rubber grommets are
still in the car body. If you want a luggage rack you can buy the car and install a
luggage rack.

The Indiana title says the following under BRAND(S);

BRAND(S)
REBUILT FLOOD
DAMAGED VEHICLE

This car had water in the car. I do not know how high the water was, but water
was in the car.

INTERIOR
It had water in the interior. I swept it and wiped everything down.
I put a wax like (Bees Wax) on the leather seats.
I even put a new emergency brake handle assembly in the car.
I installed a new neutral safety switch in the car.
I installed a brand new air-conditioning/heater control assembly in the center
console for looks (it is brand new and looks nice).

TRANSMISSION
It had water in the transmission.
The transmission was flushed with transmission fluid. It shifts fine.

ENGINE
It had water in the engine. I drained all the water and oil out of the engine. I put
trany fluid in the spark plug hole cylinders and let it set for four days. I put a new
oil filter, new oil, new starter and new plugs in it and it started right up. It runs strong.

NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE BLOCK - The last six numbers on the VIN are the
same on the engine block (118743). The title VIN number, the VIN A-pillar trim
plate in the car and the engine block all match (118743). It looks like a numbers
matching engine block to me, but I did not buy it new and have only owned it
sixteen months.

KEYS
When I purchased the car it was supposed to have keys, but someone stole the car
keys before I purchased the car, so I installed a new key tumbler and when I had
it apart I installed new two new steering column bearings. I do not have a door lock key.

If you are looking for a nice project car this is it.

Code correct Mille Miglia Red exterior, Red Vinyl interior, White convertible top.
Numbers matching 270hp 350ci engine, automatic transmission, posi rear-end.
Showing an assembly date of June 4, 1971, this beautiful Corvette Convertible is
in fanstastic shape, and is well optioned also. Appearing to be a few years old now,
the paint on this Corvette looks to have been an excellent job. Orange peel is at a
minimum, as are imperfections in general. The convertible top is free from stains
and tears, and has a clear window as well. Chrome bumpers appear to be new;
chrome exterior door handles look to be originals, but function with no problems.
All taillights are intact and free from cracks, and the weatherstripping is in very
good shape also. The luggage rack looks to be in original condition, and is not showing
any rust or dings. Correct style rally wheels are present with center caps and trim
rings in good condition. The tires on this 1971 Corvette Convertible are Goodyear
Eagle GTII's and appear to be brand new. The interior on this car is just as nice as
the outside. Door panels and seat covers have been upgraded to Deluxe interior
style in the original color, with leather seating surfaces and woodgrain trim panels.
Both of these items are in above average condition, with no cracks, rips, or tears.
The steering wheel is a later-style Corvette unit, with a more driver-friendly diameter
and a leather-wrapped rim. Gauges look great, although the clock is not working,
and the center console is in excellent condition as well. Cut-pile type carpet is
installed, and looks to be nearly new. A Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has
taken the place of the original AM/FM unit. Assembled on May 20, 1971, the engine
in this 1971 Corvette Convertible is very clean and also features a correct intake
manifold and ignition shielding. Many new parts have been installed, including the
starter, exhaust system, upper control arms, lower ball joints, sway bar, trailing
arms, rear spring bushings, power steering valve, steering box, rear main seal,
and speedometer seal. Recent maintenance includes a tuneup, oil change, and an
alignment. A/C has been converted to the new R134a refrigerant, and also features
a correct style compressor. A chrome alternator has been installed, and this Corvette
also has a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. Frame is clean and rust-free! Factory
features include tilt-n-tele, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio.
