This numbers matching Elkhart Green Corvette convertible looks and runs fantastic. Included with this convertible is a color matching original hard top. Looks as if never installed. FACTORY INSTALLED EQUIPMENT: Tilt telescoping original steering wheel, rear window defrost (only 2200 out of 27,004), power brakes, alarm, black soft top in perfect condition, elkhart green hard top. Manufactured at GM's St Louis Missouri assembly plant. Repainted early 2000's. Never frame off. GMs 946 Elkhart green and presents an excellent shine. 1972 was the last year for chrome bumpers on the Corvette and this cars bumpers are in very good condition. The factory LT-1 bulging hood features painted white stripes that border correct LT-1 callouts and sit in front of beautiful chrome accents. Dent free stainless rocker trim complement a great looking original stainless mirror and door handles. Under the hood you'll find the numbers matching LT-1 V8. Equipped with solid lifters and a high performance camshaft this 350 produces 330 gross with 9:1 compression ratio with a net HP rating of 255. At the top of the motor a chrome open element air filter sends air into a correct exclusive to 1972 Holley 4 barrel carburetor (rebuilt by Holley in 2013). Below that carburetor the correct aluminum intake sits between the cars original finned aluminum valve covers. Below those valve covers the engine block has been bathed in correct Chevy Orange paint and is border by correct cast iron exhaust manifolds. At the back of the motor a correct distributor sits under a chrome shield. Exceptionally clean the frame is in amazingly good shape and the solid fiberglass floors appear to perfect as well. The 4 speed manual transmission slips effortlessly through the gears and when combined with the cars power disc brakes it makes for a quick great driving car. Exhaust via a dual system that features two factory replacement mufflers just ahead of stainless tips at the rear of the car. Mint condition 15 inch steel rally wheels inside the like new BF Goodrich T/A radials. The saddle brown seats are well broken in but show no major signs of wear. Below the seats the cars clean and stain free saddle carpet runs from under the dash to the lighted cargo area and creates an awesome 70s feel. On the doors original saddle colored panels feature great looking stainless trim and wood appliques above chrome handles and correct chrome twist locks. In front of the driver the cars straight crack free dash houses clear gauges next to an AM/FM player with a correct passenger's side map pocket. This car is a solid using the Haggerty rating system. Never smoked in and always garaged. Built in December 1971 and shipped to its original Chevy dealer Dworkin Chevrolet in Derby CT. Three owners and all paperwork included. 50,667 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is E02. BiN $43,000. July 12, 2015. |
