Car history: |
2) After purchase, I put an additional $7000+ in upgrades and maintenance that included disc ceramic brakes, rebuilt calipers, differential bearing kit, control arm bushings, receipt will be provided. Original Corvette order copy. Great tread on tires. Title in hand. NDLR: Power brakes heve been added. 63,688 miles. Starting bid at $27,000 (no offer) on May 18, 2016. 1) 1969 Corvette convertible. All original except aftermarket radio. Equipped with it's original L46 350 horse engine, 4 speed M21 transmission and factory transistor ignition. It doesn't smoke, burn oil or overheat. Options include factory air conditioning, power steering, power windows and tilt wheel. The interior is the rare gunmetal color and is nearly new. Car was ordered in October of 1968 and delivered to a Mississippi dealer in November 1968. The frame and birdcage are virtually rust free having spent its entire life winter free. The car runs and drives perfectly; all the lights including the fiber optics work as they should. Additionally all the gauges work including the clock. The AC has been professionally converted to R-134 and blows very cold. The convertible top is white and also comes with the optional hardtop. The hardtop with this car is unusual in that it is white vinyl instead of the more typical black. I can't verify that it is a factory covered top because records indicate that Chevrolet never offered it that way, but it sure looks like it is. There are pictures of midyear factory vinyl hardtops that are white but I haven't seen any for C3's. The paint isn't perfect but is very presentable after one repaint years ago. Car also came from the factory with the optional headrests and the speed warning indicator. It has just under 62,000 original miles and runs great. Everything under the hood is box stock with the only modification being the R-134 conversion. The birdcage and frame are exceptional with only a dusting of surface rust on the frame. Most of it still shows the original black paint. I lowered the tank to preserve the build sheet and the pictures show the underside of the tank with the original factory stencil markings in blue. The condition of the cross members are clear to see as well. The car is located near St Louis Missouri. 61,451 miles from the odometer. $27,500. Color code from the trim plate. Assembly date is D21. June 4, 2014. |
