Summary: Original 427cid rebuilt with 10:1 pistons, aluminum racing pistons, ported and polished cylinder head with over-sized valves and roller rockers, Dart Intake with 850 Holley carburetor and Muncie M-22 4-speed.
Details: Patterned after "Larry Shinoda's Shark II" prototype. This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible features its original 427cid big block engine. As an added enhancement, the rare Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher heavy-duty 4-speed manual transmission was rebuilt and fitted with a high RPM release clutch assembly. Finished in Metallic Frost Silver over a new black interior and a new Royal Blue convertible top, the car rides on rare Convo-Pro ultra-lightweight racing rims with suspension upgrades including Bilstein shocks and lightweight composite springs. The big block 427cid engine originally was rated at 390hp, but was rebuilt with modifications including increased compression ratio of 10:1 with aluminum racing pistons, ported and polished cylinder head with over-sized valves and roller rockers, Dart high-rise intake manifold with an 850CFM Holley carburetor. Additionally, the engine is fitted with a NOS fogger system. Sold US $22,500.00 plus 10%buyers commission. |
