Car history: |
For Sale: 1977 Corvette coupe. 350, auto, ps, pb, pw, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, air cond, stereo, leather interior. The leather seats were done by Al Knoch and are like new. I am the third owner and purchased the car in Indiana. It has never been driven in snow and has been stored for a large part of it's life. The motor is not an L-82 like it shows on the hood scoop, it is an L-48. The custom hood scoop was added and had the emblems on it. This car rides and handles excellent and better than I would have ever thought for a vehicle of it's age. The car has never been smoked in. It has newer exhaust, tires, battery and alternator. The underside looks great. When I took pictures of the car I forgot to remove the dash cover and take a picture, the dash is in great condition like the rest of the interior. I also forgot to open the hood and take a picture of the motor, it also looks good not show condition but good. The clock is factory and it still works fine. The car is stored a long ways away from where I live. Actual mileage unknown.
List of know problems: Paint faded on hood, roof and deck, sides look great. From sitting in storage, the gaskets in the holley carburetor dried up and it leaks gas. It started and I shut it off when I realized it. I was going to take and wash the car before I took the pictures but because of the problem I couldn't drive it, that's why the car has dust all over it. Before this happened the car has always started right up and ran great and still will after fixing. I have a brand new holley carb in box but it has sat for awhile so I don't know about the condition of the gaskets on it. I tried to change the carb and discovered that the hookups on it are different. I don't want to mess with it anymore. The carb on the car is in great shape except for the gaskets. Small leak in the power steering. Driver side lower seat belt doesn't work, only the shoulder strap does. The previous owner installed the remote mirror cable control in the wrong place. The gas gauge works but gets a little jumpy when driving. Cruise control isn't working. The vehicle would have to be picked up in person and trailered for transport because of the carburetor. Once the car is fixed, you won't be disappointed in it. It is indeed a great vehicle. Not a show car but nice and something worth working with. The car is 33 years old and is being sold as is.
