Car history: |
It is a factory 427/ 390 HP (N.O.M.) 4spd. car. The paint is only a few years old and is the original Safari yellow color with black leather interior. The odometer reads an original 88,832 miles. I'm only the third owner of this car. The frame is completely clean and rust free having been a Southern California car since new. It is equipped with the following factory options : Power Steering, 3:70 Positraction rear axle, Deluxe hubcaps, Electric windows, Telescopic wheel, AM/FM, Headrest seats, Vinyl Hardtop, Tinted windows (all), M-20 4 spd. Transmission, (# 85407541). The bumpers have recently been Re-plated and it has the following new parts: Door panels, complete carpet, stainless steel brakes (complete), Side exhaust mufflers, BF Goodrich tires, Radiator, Complete front end Rebuild, Driver's side complete trailing arm, KYB Gas-a-just shock absorbers, clutch, Headlight actuators, and Speakers. Added on factory 1969 parts are as follows: GM side exhaust with covers, 1969 Chrome dress up kit, 1969 leather seat covers. The car still retains an original L-88 hood (not Repro). The car has never been in an accident and it runs and drives excellent. I would rate the paint a 7.5 as it shows fairly well but is by no means a concourse finish. The car has custom headers, an aluminum intake manifold and is approx. 450HP with 11:1 compression. As of right now there are a few things not working including, Radio, Heater, clock, wiper door and the stitching on the drivers seat bottom is letting go. The original owner was a fellow named John Connolly of Los Angeles, Ca. He sold the car to Woody Duke in 1978 with 76,314 orig. miles. Woody drove the car only 4,060 miles. The car then sat in Woody's garage in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles until 1999 when I purchased it from the old timer who was 80. I've only put 8,500 miles on it from 1999 until the present as it has been a secondary car. I just had all new weatherstrip installed. The car runs and drives beautiful and looks nice but is not a trailer queen. The car comes with the Original Vinyl Covered Hard Top{MINT} and original soft top. I also have a brand new Al Knoch white soft top that needs to be installed on the original soft top frame which is also included with the car. This is a Low Mileage, Loaded, California, Big Block 4spd. Convertible. The Engine has been Rebuilt and Runs Great. Original Firestone Spare tire and rim included. The Vette`s build date is December 1967. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is E22. 88,832 miles. July 20, 2009. |
