| This 1968 Corvette has just received a professional ground up restoration completed December '07. The body retains all of the original panels and bonding strips and appears to have been a no hit car. The engine is not the original and has been rebuilt top to bottom including the 3x2 carburetor set up. It has a new clutch and rebuilt Muncie 4 speed with new u-joints and refurbished suspension. Options include power steering, power windows, factory side exhaust, original 7" wide rally wheels with new red stripe tires, original radio and head rest seats. The vacuum headlights and wiper door work properly and the engine has all the factory shielding and chrome in place. There is a new aluminum radiator and new clutch fan so it runs at a cool temperature. The paint was applied over factory panels using base coat /clear coat and the bumpers and exterior trim are all new. The convertible top and bow pads are new and it is black vinyl. The interior remains stock in appearance with new leather seats, carpet and trim pieces. Only 50 miles have been driven since restoration to work the bugs out. A folder with all restoration receipts and pictures of work in progress is included with the car. This Corvette looks and sounds awesome. Colors from the trim plate. February 5, 2008. |
