Car history: |
Posted 05/02/2017 This is arguably the finest, most original, matching numbers, unrestored 1971 Corvette to be found. This is an absolute time capsule of a factory stock 1971 Corvette T-Top Coupe. The car has its original War Bonnet Yellow exterior paint with completely original Black vinyl interior, M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission, 350/270hp engine, and 3.08:1 positraction rear axle. The car has 7,131 documented miles, comes with the original Corvette Order Copy (Tank Sheet), complete owner history and the Gold Standard in national Corvette judging awards, the NCRS 5 Star Bowtie Award and NCRS Duntov Award of Excellence, which were awarded at the NCRS 2010 National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. In fact, this 1971 War Bonnet Yellow Corvette scored 99.3 in NCRS National Flight Judging and is believed to be the highest scoring unrestored pre 1973 NCRS Corvette in existence.
This 1971 War Bonnet Yellow Corvette is truly an investment grade collectible automobile. Nicely optioned with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, and Raised White Lettered Tires, the car has excellent provenance. It is documented with its Corvette Order Copy (tank sheet) and complete owner history. The car had been in the original owners family from 1971 until 1999. Titles from 1985 on verify the mileage and owners. The rare distinction of achieving both the NCRS Duntov Award of Excellence and the NCRS 5 Star Bowtie Award of Preservation puts this Corvette in a elite class of extremely well preserved original Corvettes. There are very few Corvettes which have been so recognized.
