|This 1975 Chevy Corvette Stingray has been owned by my 66 year old father
since 1984. He bought it as a daily driver then later started modifying it to what
you see today. It has spent it's whole life in the garage and meticulously
maintained. Never seen snow and never raced or driven hard.
The body and paint is 9 out of 10 with custom stripes, fender vents, hood, front
spoiler, rear wing, side pipes, wheels, like new tires. The nose and tail piece have
been molded into the rest of the body so they don't have any body lines there. It
has only a few tiny flaws which could be easily touched up. I tried to show them
in the pictures, they are tiny little door chips on the edge of the drivers door and 2
dime sized scratches that were touched up on the passenger quarter panel. It
currently has the glass top on it and it includes the original painted T-Tops which
got some small scratches in them while being stored. I think they would buff out.
The interior is basically all original with only minor touch ups over the years
and I would rate it an 8 out of 10. The steering column was rebuilt and repainted.
The carpet was replaced throughout. It has an older window tint job. It has an
aftermarket radio that fits in the original dash, all the speakers were replaced, and
it has an aftermarket subwoofer system. The only flaws to speak of are also in
the pictures. It has a little piping that has come loose on the drivers seat about 3
inches long. A few blemishes on the edge of the drivers door. The tach doesn't
work but I'm sure it's just a wire that got pulled loose during the engine work.
There seems to be a problem in the ductwork that allows the air to blow out all
over the place no matter what the setting. All very minor issues and the interior
looks fantastic overall for a car that is 35 years old.
The engine and mechanicals are a 9 out of 10 as well. I will list all of the things
that have been done in the last 1,000 miles. Steering: all tie rods, all ball joints,
rack and pinion, steering gear box. Engine: Gone through and received valve
seals, lifters, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket and chrome oil pan, rear main
seal, high volume oil pump, fuel pump, 1.6 roller rockers, polished high rise intake
manifold, ceramacoat headers to chrome side pipes, rebuilt factory carb (comes
with polished Edelbrock 600 in box), polished corvette valve covers, polished
water pump, polished pulleys, fan & fan clutch, new A/C compressor and lines,
radiator hoses, radiator, condenser, vaccuum lines, Polished brake master
cylinder, New calipers, Rebuilt transmission with shift kit and chrome pan, etc, etc,
I've probably forgotten more than I have remembered. The engine is so clean
when you were done using all the chrome as a mirror you could eat your dinner
off of it. The underside of the car is just as clean as the top with no leaks and
fully detailed as shown in the pictures. It also has an amazing under car lighting
system that does every imaginable color, tempo, and pattern.
It is a beautiful car that needs nothing but a new owner and it comes with all
the original parts including the hood, exhaust, air conditioning, intake manifold,
etc. My father is asking $17,999 but please feel free to take a look and make an offer.
