Posted 04/26/2017 Excellent condition, original engine and 4-speed transmission, this 1976 Stingray, at true 81,000 miles, looks, drives, handles, shifts and runs as close to new as possible. Bright Yellow original color paint is beautiful and has very few flaws, shines nicely without scratches, swirls, cracking or checking. All original black leather interior is very nice with no replacement seats or panels. Recently updated with new radiator and core support, all hoses, spark plugs, wiring, full and balanced clutch kit, 2 1/2 inch exhaust system from manifolds to custom chrome tips. True dual exhaust makes perfect Corvette sound at idle and on and off the throttle, yet has a pleasant, comfortable stereo tailpipe note when at cruising speeds. No catalytic converter offers more horsepower and reduced cabin heat. New BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires are factory correct size front and rear. Also has a new main rear spring. Frame is rust free. Power steering is on center at any speed hands off with no play in the wheel and excellent road feedback. Front suspension reacts as it should and can take highway ramps confidently at speed. This is an L-48 small block that is quick due to less breathing restriction and 4-speed manual transmission. Fun to drive and always noticed on or off the road. I have the original radio, valve covers and air cleaner lid that can be reinstalled. All mechanical work has been done by 35 year professional Corvette shop in Clarence, NY. Custom Hand Painted striping done by professional shop. This is the one you should look at as a benchmark if you are considering a C3 Corvette.
