Car history: |
First Time Offered in 20 Years 1978 Corvette. This is the 25th anniversary for the Corvette. This is the regular run with front badge and rear spoiler. I bought the car with 52,000 miles and a sable brown paint job. Options include electric windows, mirrored t-tops, tilt and telescoping steering column, cruise control and air-conditioning that has been converted. My wife blew a water hose and toasted the motor in 1990. I took it a local speed shop for rebuild and discovered it had a 400, 4-bolt block. The mechanic recommended a .030 bore and installed a 350 crank and rods. Thus, 377 cubic inch small block Chevy. Its got TRW 9:1 pistons, 202 heads ported and polished, Edlebrock Performer manifold and 750 CFM carburetor with electric choke, Competition 380 H cam and Magnum roller rockers and Headman 2 tube 3 collector headers. I also added a B&M Shift Improver Kit and a Hurst 900 RPM stall torque converter to the 350 TH. Other maintenance items are new radiator, heater core, brake calipers, new carpets throughout, a cassette deck and stereo radio in the original location (no cutting) and a black paint job about 8 years ago. Included with the car is an Evolution Wolf Cover and a T-Top Suitcase. Things to know: The brakes are a little soft. They stop the car but will not lock up. The horn is unplugged because it honks when you turn the wheel. The lights will not pop up. They have to be put up and down manually. The paint has some rock chips where the tires have kicked them up and a spot of paint rubbed off the size of a quarter on the nose from the cover. |
