Factory Big Block 427 cu. in./390 hp, Automatic Transmission, Factory Original Side Exhaust, Power Steering, T-Tops, Power Brakes, Removable Rear Window Glass, Power Windows, Original "Top Hat" Wheels & Trim, Soft cloth, breathable cover included. Documentation: Shop Manual, Clear Title. Frame is solid (inspected on hoist). Chrome is in GOOD condition (all straight, shines well, No bubbles or chips but not perfect), Interior is in FAIR condition (what's left of the seat padding needs to be replaced, interior is worn but it is pretty much all there and "usable"). 400 transmission, is solid- no slipping or leaks that I've observed. I have not checked for matching numbers. But, documentation does not mention anything to imply motor change. Vacuum-actuated headlights AND wiper door work. Documentation includes letter from GM dated 1996 describing contents of build sheet (build sheet not included in documentation). Paint has been touched up in the rear- a portion (part of the rear deck and roof) have been repainted. But, all seams and gaps are just as outta whack as show room original. So, I don't think it has had any major body work done to it. It definitely has not been restored, even a long time ago- I believe that it is truly a Survivor car. I have debated with myself for the entire time I've owned this car whether or not to repaint it- it needs it. I believe it to be structurally and mechanically sound. Recent Repairs/Replacements: Heater Core, Tires, Upper "A" arms, Brakes, Rebuilt original carburetor, Lights & Electrical, Steering Wheel (Original included with the car), Hood Release Cable (Original included with the car), Rear Transverse Spring, Still Needed - Mechanical/Safety. This list is by no means exhaustive. It is meant to provide an idea of what I think is the top of a long list of things still to be done in order to make it 100% right. I've spent the past 4 years checking off the items to get the car to the condition it's in legal, reliable, dependable and a low safety risk (we all know that safety standards in 1969 weren't what we'd call safe today). Gaskets & Weather Seals (old and worn) Engine Rebuild (drips a little oil), Head Rests/restraints (non-existant), Seat Belts (exist, but non-functional), Head lights/High Beams work (including vacuum-actuation), Running Lights/ Turn Signals all work, Brake lights work, It starts, runs, drives, shifts, turns and stops reliably and predictably, Windshield Wipers work (including vacuum-actuated cover), Exterior needs work (surfacing and paint, maybe some replacement trim), Interior needs work (repair, major cleaning &/or replacement of many parts), Engine Compartment needs work (cleaning and replacement of some missing/incorrect trim), Suspension needs work (replace rear springs, maybe the shocks, too). 94,000 miles. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is B11. May 1, 2009. |
