Car history:
1) Original condition corvette roadster. Everything is original but the block. The replacement block is an original 68 427 block from another 435 corvette. It has the IP after build date on the Front of the Block. This car is super clean for a survivor. It has a build sheet, owners manual, warranty paper work and a whole bunch of additional information. This has been a clean Colorado Car it's whole Life.
This two-top convertible is powered numbers matching L-71 427. High compression pop up pistons, steel crank, 4 bolt mains and triple Holley two-barrel carburetors. This is an entirely different animal than the 400-horsepower hydraulic lifter 427. Horsepower figures are not far off between the two with the L-71 being rated at 435. GM was notorious for under... rating their engines. 435 was measured at 5,800 RPM, however this engine makes peak power near 6,000 RPM and true power is closer to 450HP.
The Engine is out of the Car and short Block has been rebuilt. Most a the parts come with the car to put back together. I was told it was a running Engine by previous owner.
This example is painted in Factory Original Silver Paint with a soft top and hard top Gunmetal Silver vinyl interior. Other equipment includes, Rally Wheels, AM/FM radio, 3.70 Posi-Traction, M-21 Close ratio Muncie 4-speed and Transistorized ignition. Included with the sale is the original Tank Sticker! BiN $35,000 but reached $23,988 (RnM) on March 23, 2018. Sold for $26,000 by clifton81, Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 29, 2018.
