1) I bought this lt1 car locally and had planned on doing a resto but I can't put the money out right now. here is the scoop on this car. I have talked to the last two owners and can put you in touch with them if you buy the car. The car was painted black back in the 80's by the second owner he can verify the car and he said I could get pics of it when it was original. the original color was Donnybrooke green with tan interior. He also thought he could get me in touch with the original owner. He blew the original LT1 engine and put a junkie old 400 in this rare classic. He does not remember what he did with the original engine. this is an LT1 it does not have power anything. no power steering, no power windows, no a/c. etc.
it is a 4 speed and does have an m22 which I removed when I pulled the engine. it goes with the car. when I bought this car it ran and drove great but since I was going to get right on it I pulled the engine and tranny so I could start the process. I don't need to go through the history of the corvette but THIS IS 1 OF 1287 1970 LT1 Corvettes. EXTREMELY RARE! ONE OF THE TOP 5 MOST SOUGHT AFTER CORVETTES EVER. the body is in decent shape I was going to do a frame off and go back to green. there is no rust on the frame or birdcage This car has always been in a garage. I have not looked for a build sheet so it might still be somewhere in the car. Again this car does not have an engine installed in it. I will give the buyer an engine but is not the original one. I have had some questions about the rear end and I lifted the car and here are the numbers; CASTING DATE A 23 O, AXLE RATIO CODE 1 CFB 2 16 70 W, THE REAR END IS A 4.11 HEAVY DUTY POSITRACTION COMMON IN LT1 CARS. THERE IS NO REAR SWAY BAR I BELIEVE THEY WERE ONLY ON BIG BLOCK CARS. IT DOES HAVE A 27 INCH RADIATOR WITH NO OVERFLOW TANK. THE TRANSISTOR IGNITION WIRE IS STILL THERE. I ALSO HAVE A FACTORY 1970 LT1 CAMSHAFT FOR THIS CAR. THE DRIVERS DOOR PANEL HAS BEEN REMOVED BY ME I WAS GOING TO REPLACE A WINDOW CRANK THAT I BOUGHT FOR IT. 93,713 miles. Colors from the owner. Built date is B24. June 10, 2009
