Car history:
I bought this 1970 Corvette Convertible just a few weeks ago, and therefore cannot provide a history for the car, however, I believe that you could get in it and drive it home today. It is a 1970 Convertible with Matching Numbers 350 c.i./ 300 h.p. engine. It has an Automatic Transmission with Power Steering, Brakes and Windows. It has the Tilt/tele Steering Column. I find nothing to indicate the car has ever been hit. (The body is pretty nice-having a few minor paint chips, etc. There is one 1/2 dollar size nick at edge of Left Rear wheel opening). The car has been up-dated with an H.E.I. Distributor (The Tachometer is NOT connected.) The Headlight units open and close. Headlights and Taillights work. Turn signals work (w/ sluggish cancel) Aftermarket radio works. Speedometer, Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges work. Heater fan runs. Air vents seem to be working. Windshield Wipers work at both speeds. (Windshield Wiper Door works, but is erratic). Windows are good. Original carpet is poor/fair. Seats are pretty good. Door panels are fair. Power windows work fine. The car runs cool on original radiator. Has the convertible top ONLY. (top is in pretty good condition with no holes. Bowes are good and top folds nicely). It has a new starter. The transmission was gone thru on 8/20/15 (New pump, modulator, seals, gaskets). The car-frame/rear suspension has been rebuilt with new steel and new components (new trailing arms, shocks, spring, bolts, bushings, u-joints). New aluminized exhaust system. Engine starts easily and runs fairly good. Old Quadrajet carburetor needs rebuilt. New battery. Almost New Radial tires. Bumpers are very nice. Good original seat belts. Looks like Left Rear Caliper is leaking brake fluid. I suspect some time/work is needed to tighten up the front suspension. I'm going to list this as a item, so if it does not sell, and you are still interested, give me a call or email with a phone #. I bought this car with the thought of selling it and maybe making some money. I doubt that will happen. I have recently found a really nice 1969 Corvette that I want. I need Cash to buy it. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is B21. BiN $18,000. September 17, 2015.
