Car history: |
68 t-top Vette in a surviver/driver quality. A very good friend of mine was working to turn this into a nice Sunday cruiser before he suffered a severe stroke. While he was bedridden his kid managed to damage it in a couple of places. He evidently didn't have the keys and pulled the ignition switch from the dash to hotwire it. While on a joyride he apparently lost the left front wheel and damaged the fender as is visable in the photos. There is a small crack along the top of the rear "spoiler" and the front lower shows damage as well. It is a small block automatic with no power options. I'm not a Vette dude, so I asked a member of the local club to inspect for quirky vette problem ares. He said the frame and body appears sound. The chrome bumpers are perfect. This car is equipped with those hi dollar Billet Specialty wheels, which is why the kid lost one. The shop that installed them added spacers so the calipers would clear but they failed to install longer lug studs. My buddy drove this car many miles with this combo but it evidenly wouldn't take high speed cornering that way. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is G05. March 15, 2009. |
