Car history: |
1972 Corvette Stingray T-Top Coupe. Last year of classic "chrome bumper". ZZ4 350. Factory Air Conditioning. It was recently restored by a restoration shop hired by the previous owner. He spent lots of money and time getting this car restored correctly. The entire car is in very nice shape but what is the most impressive is the body and paint refinish. It was a very expensive job but it was worth every penny. All the lines and spaces are perfect. This is a base/clear coat paint finish and it has a "wet look" hi gloss finish. The interior is basically all new except front and rear carpets. The leather is in great shape. The dash and all bright works, handles, knobs, vents, visors, etc. are all brand new. The car came with a box of goodies that were not installed on the car yet including all new weather-stripping. The engine is not the original 350 engine. It is a crate 350 ZZ4 engine that runs excellent. I just had it tuned up. The frame is dry and solid with no signs of rust, just common oxidation. This car needs.. 1.The power windows do work but they need help to get them all the way to the top. Just a little tug and they come right up and do go most of the way up on their own. 2.The headlights work as they should but one of the headlight doors goes up slower than the other. I think this may be normal but wanted to disclose it. 3.The wiper door is not hooked up and can be pulled back and pushed in place easily so the wipers can be used if you get caught in the rain. I was told it needs a vacuum actuator to make it work automatically. 4. The car came with A/C originally but is not currently installed. Needs compressor and a few other misc small parts to get working. Has new switch and all hard hoses are still mounted through the firewall. All new vents also. 61,711 miles. November 20, 2008. |
