07/16/2014 I will brutally describe the car to the best of my ability (I am very picky.)
Paint and body-a very horrible repaint (I believe the car was blue)-sanding scratches, chips, cracks, crowsfoot, can see bodywork on right rear, hairline cracks on rear valance where exhaust exits-bumpers have rust on underside, front grilles-fair, t-tops have corners broken off approx 1/4 in, (also have 1 piece astro top included.) Hood is an after market cowl (wiper door eliminated.) Headlights go up and down, lenses and lights all work. Car looks good even in the sun from approximately 10 ft. away. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES THE CAR LOOKS GOOD IN THEM. Some rust on right rear of frame. Interior-clock does not work, crack in dash over speaker (2 in), seat belts beginning to fray, plastic cover over seat belts needs replacing, interior door panels should be replaced -l/s held on with screws, top of doors rusty, windows have play (both doors lock-open /close windows go up/down etc) radio sucks, wipers and washers just stopped working, could use new weatherstripping, windshield pillar moldings need replacing seats and everything else works and looks good. Trans- automatic t- 400 with approximately 2k on it-runs and shifts great. Engine-This I can only tell what I see-new Holley 650 w/electric choke, aluminum maniold, tach drive single point dist, block #3970010, I THINK motor was redone at some point due to the fact oil is super clean and the block numbers on the right side deck were milled off, (good possibility it is a 4bolt -large balancer -plug above timing -2 threaded holes by oil filter) under the valve covers are screw in studs with competition cams roller tip rockers, when car gets hot motor taps-not in a bad way but as is a solid lift camshaft, oil pressure cold 60psi- hot 45psi. Has factory exhaust manifolds- very quiet- slight rumble- looks to have new mufflers, Temp never goes above 195, no leaks, starts right up and feels strong. Misc-has power steering and non-power brakes (real fun to stop), looks like new brakes and calipers in front, new fuel tank, new fuel pump, plus much more. IN CLOSING-I DO NOT KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE ENGINE DUE TO THE FACT THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT EITHER, HE HAD A LOT OF WORK DONE TO THE CAR AS I HAVE DONE SOME AS WELL. HAVE APPROXIMATELY 7K IN RECIEPTS FOR THE CAR. I DRIVE THE CAR ON WEEKENDS ITS FUN TO DRIVE AND IT RUNS, DRIVES, SHIFTS AND HANDLES GREAT BUT AS I MENTIONED ABOVE IT HAS ISSUES. I AM SELLING THE CAR BECAUSE I HAVE 4 VEHICLES. ARE HARD TO KEEP UP WITH, WHICH MEANS I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL IT. |
