Car history: |
I do not believe I am selling this but I no longer have time for this beauty. In the last 2 years I have driven this car 828 miles and all of them have been to car shows. This is a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray survivor of which I am the 3rd owner in 36 years. Brief history of this vehicle contained here and below. This car was born February of 1973 at the St. Louis Plant which no longer exists. Original owner cared for it 28.8 years driving it 5 months a year in only the best weather and garaged and covered the rest of the year. It was later sold to a classic car investor in Connecticut of which it spent 5.7 years of it's life barely driven and stored. I came in and purchased as a show car and have driven it 828 miles total. This car has 32,411 original, documented miles on it. It is a true survivor and ready for Bloomington Gold Certification. Paint is original Code 941 Elkhart Green with minor blemishes expected from a 36 year old paint job. Sitting in the Interior is like sitting in a time capsule, No tears, Rips, Holes, Prior repairs, or stains. Everything works except original clock and original radio, but they are still intact. It is virtually impossible to find one this old with both working. I do have a quartz kit rebuild but never brought myself to perform the surgery and alter the orginality. You can if you wish, just please don't tell me! Motor is an L-48 option 190 H.P. The beauty of this is that this was a New York Vehicle. Therefore it never had any of the California smog equipment added. Remember 73' was the year of smog regulation, 5 mph bumpers and massive reduction of big HP compression. Original air filer and Rochester carb was changed for 2 reasons, Safety and Performance. Although the original carb, Roc's were notorious for leaking and catching on fire. This beauty did not deserve that kind of fate. You can perform that surgery if you desire, just don't tell me when complete! All numbers match on the beauty, engine, trans, rear axle. paint. interior, etc. All sections of this vehicle more than the required surivorship for the prestigious Bloominton Gold Certification. This car has won many trophies for originality and Best in Class. Car is well documented with prior registrations, Bills of Sales, Original 1st owner title dated 4/2/73, Original new Vehicle warranty dated 3/13/73, Original paper work that came with car from dealer, original owners manual, Sales brochure date 9/72 and Orginal keys. Paperwork is in pristine condition.
Shipping is your responsibility and your cost. I will be here to see car loaded on trailer but assume no responsibility or cost. Your trailer and your trailer company to load and touch vehicle. I assume no responsibility once car loaded. Title is clear and in my hand. This car runs like a clock!
