Car history: |
2) this is the a muscle car, no tricks just bad!!!! Clean all restored, the 427 has been pro built bored 454, balance and bobweight, blue prints, the paint is show room, interior is all original. I have all documation. 125,000 miles. June 3, 2010. 1) 454 High Performance Engine, 4-Speed Transmission, Clean Rust free TN/GA Car, Power Steering, Power brakes, Real Fast-Real Fun-Real Loud. Traded in from a customer in GA/TN mountain area. The previous owner is a very talented engine builder who knows how to match the running gear of a car to its chassis. This one is set up perfectly. It does have the tell-tale signs of being a Corvette that was originally fitted with the 427 engine. A couple of the obvious ones we recognized are the factory installed rear sway bar (wrong!) and the factory installed big block tachometer (wrong!). I have driven this car and it is one of the fastest cars I have driven in a long time. The engine seems to be connected to a bottomless gas pedal. This car PULLS! It always wants to go faster and it seems to never run out of power. This one is the full package. The paint and body are very presentable the panels are nice and straight. The exhaust from this car has a great throaty sound at idle but it roars when cranked up and it booms like thunder at high revs. All quality name brand performance parts used. Everything is fully operational except the wipers and tach don't work. The ignition system has been converted from points to the better performing HEI system. The factory tachometer is a "points driven" style which means it is a mechanically driven tach. It used to be driven by a cable that was attached to the original old style distributor. An adapter can be installed or the tach head can be changed out and it won't be too expensive. The lights, blinkers, pop-up headlights, speedometer, gauges are all fully functional. The gears are probably high 3's ratio. Not too short legged so it's super fast off the line but not redlining on the highway. I drove this car about 100 miles at all speeds and conditions and it behaves very well on a long drive. No overheating, leaks, oil smells or any other normal old Corvette common issues. It is fine to drive it a long distance but bring your radar detector if you got one. This car wants to go real fast all the time. Colors from the trim plate. 123,990 miles. April 12, 2008. |
