Car history:
I have a good looking, good running 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette with the
L-48 engine, and 3 speed automatic transmission for viewing pleasure.
It isn't perfect so I will try to tell you everything that I know is wrong with it.

Exterior: The paint is pretty good and it shines nicely. However, it does have
some minor flaking (see the pictures). Also about 6 inches of pin stripe is missing
over the passenger rear wheel well (see picture). The frame is in very good
shape, and is in no need of repair. It is definitely a strong point for the car.

Interior: This is definitely the car's worst point. The interior should be replaced -
door panels and all. I have all new carpet which I will include with the buy it now
price ($6,100). The driver's seat belt webbing has quite a bit of fraying. I have
put duct tape on the edges, but due to this is does not retract well. The belt
material itself should be replaced. I believe the hardware is good. The power
door locks do not work. The driver's side power window works, but not well. The
passenger side window does not work. The motor has been taken out, but not
replaced. When I purchased the car I was told I would receive the window motor
when it was repaired. I was then told it was not repairable. The dash has a crack
(see picture). The oil pressure gauge does not work. The speedometer does not
work well it bounces some and does not appear to be accurate. The A/C does not
work. The radio has been taken out. I have two sets of seats for it. You can
have your choice. I will give both sets with the buy it now. I have the original
seats, which are not very good, the driver's back wants to lean too far back. I
currently have installed '98 Corvette seats. They have power options, but I did
not run power to them. The passenger seat works. The driver's seat will only go
forward not backward. Also, either the upper or lower lumbar does not work - I'm
sorry I can't remember which. You will note in the picture that the driver's side
door handle is sagging. It can be installed better, but I did not want to take a
dishonest picture. It needs to be replaced and some of the hardware on the door
is either missing or damaged. I noticed that it was not properly installed when I
took it off. It is currently the way it is in the picture. Also the driver door does
have rust (see picture). I have not removed the panel, but there is some rust
behind it as well. I don't believe it is as bad as the corner in the picture, but I
couldn't really see. The door may need to be replaced to make it really nice. It
opens and closes fine right now, and it feels solid. The passenger door needs to
have the outside latch adjusted as it is very difficult to open from the outside. It
opens fine from the inside, and it closes easily as well. The weather stripping is
quite worn. I have driven it in the rain. I didn't get wet, but water does get down
on floor pans where you put your feet. I'm not sure where it comes in at. There
is some surface rust on the floor pans. It isn't bad, but it needs attention. I pulled
back the carpet and took pictures. The lights do work. They pop up and stay up.
At times I have had to pull the switch in and out to get them to engage, but once
they pop up they stay up. I'd say they work pretty good.

Drive Train: I am happy to say that it drives straight down the road (I have had it
up to about 90 mph on the expressway and I did not notice any problems - I
normally do not do this), and as far as I can tell it is quite strong. I was told that
the 81,000 miles are original. The most annoying thing is that the solenoid is a
little sticky. A few times when I have had it runnging, and tried to immediately
start it again, it would not. I would turn the key and the starter wouldn't engage.
I let it sit for a few minutes (approximately 15) and it would start. One time it had
been sitting and it did the same thing. I put it in neutral, rocked it a bit, and then
it started. So at some point the solenoid will need to be replaced. It does leak
power steering fluid, oil, and I think automatic transmission fluid. However, like I
said everything seems to work pretty good (other than the solenoid - I'd say it
starts better than 9 out of 10 times).

In closing it's a nice looking, good running car with a lot of potential. However, it
is a used vehicle, and I don't know everything about it. As such it is sold as is
where is. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I am very good
about returning phone calls. So please feel free to use me cell phone number.

Thank You,
Titus
