1980/1981/1982 C3 V54 Option - Rear Deck T-Top Carrier
In over 9 years of looking,I have now collected data on over 8,000 1980, 1981 and 1982 Corvettes. Of these, only 98 have the 3 primary components of the V54 Rear Deck T-Top Carrier Option - The grommets on the rear deck, the carrier and straps, and the storage bag for the carrier. So if you are the proud owner, hang onto this rare option! And if you need a set, or are missing any parts, email me. I may be able to help replace them for you.

Late C3 V54 Option - Rear Deck T-Top Carrier
I have accumulated data on over 3,200 cars from the 1980-1982 production years. Only 9,050 of the total 106,527 Corvettes produced in these years had this option. That would be 8.5%. Today, based on this sample of 3,200 (as of 6/5/09), only 37 have the carrier and the storage bag for the carrier. That down to 1.13% of the original 8.5%. A lot of people have thrown the carrier out - probably not knowing what it was. Other carriers have broken or been so badly "sun burned" that the plastic literally falls apart. Bags are even more rare. Any one interested in this data? By the way, I own 5 sets of these carriers and bags if anyone is interested. They are not cheap - over $500.00 for the carrier alone.
