Car history: |
This 1969 Corvette coupe is loaded with options. It is finished in its original color combination of Monza Red with dark saddle vinyl trim. This car has spent most of its life in Florida. The frame is very solid. The body lines up well, and does not appear to have ever sustained any significant collision damage. I have documentation going back to the early 1990s, with a professional appraisal done in 1993 documenting the equipment on the car. We pulled the gas tank; but the tank sticker was deteriorated beyond legibility. The odometer mileage cannot be verified. It is likely miles are over the mechanical limit of 99,999. VIN shows this car to have been built in March of 1969. Equipment includes: Power windows, tinted glass, factory air conditioning, 3.08 positraction rear axle, power brakes, power steering, TH 400 automatic transmission, tilt and telescoping steering column, audio alarm system, speed warning indicator. The original factory AM-FM radio is included, but not installed. It has just been upgraded with new modern internals, including an auxiliary input for Ipod, etc. Mechanically, the car has just had the following work: new shocks, new stabilizer bushings, new idler arm, rebuilt power steering including new control valve and slave cylinder, as well as new pressure hoses, trans cooler lines, new plugs and plug wires. All repairs were done professionally, with receipts available. The air conditioning does not blow cold; but the compressor and clutch are operational. Cosmetically, the car needs paint. It appears to have had one repaint quite some time ago. Chrome is good, interior dash and door panels are very good. New correct Al Knoch seat covers are included, but not installed. Front carpet is fair to good. Cargo area is very presentable. Here are the numbers for the major components: Engine: 19S720597 P/N 3963512 P Casting # T0316LN Heads : P/N 3931063 Intake: 3937795 Carbs Front and Rear: 3302353 EU List 3659 893 Center carb: 39AU930 EM List 4056 U394 Trans: 438 CK69 4 289, Rear End: 2AV31769W C49. This is a very solid and original car, which has some needs; but it can be taken to the next level fairly easily. The equipment level is very high, and the original color combination is excellent, and relatively rare. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is H31. 22,300 miles. $29,995. February 11, 2014. |
