06/26/2014 1980 CUSTOM CHEVROLET CORVETTE Restored to Showroom Standards LOOKS NICE INSIDE AND OUT!!!! The car itself has 91,000 miles on it but 26,287 miles ago it went through a major rebuild project. A GM crate motor (350CI/300HP+) was installed. The induction system is EDELBROCK PRO FLO MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTION. A 700R4 overdrive automatic by BOWTIE OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION (California). The transmission is tough and shifts instantly. You can drive it as an automatic or you can shift it yourself as a 4 speed. The rear end gear is 3.70 to 1, so you know it responds quickly!! This Corvette also has a 140 MPH speedometer, replacing the original 85 MPH speedometer. The new speedometer reads just over 26,287. The calipers are stainless steel sleeved. Additionally, the brake lines are braided stainless. Suspension was evaluated and a VETTE BRAKES AND PRODUCTS (Florida) suspension kit was installed. Goes fast, stops smooth. It drives as if it is on rails. The custom wheels are BOSS MOTOR SPORTS and the high performance tires are GENERALS. Same as when the car was new. Also added was a new gas tank and electric fuel pump. The power steering system has been rebuilt. Sport bucket seats are from a 1995 Corvette and are much more comfortable than the original seats. Air conditioning is ice cold with new condenser and hoses added in 2012. The paint job is perfect and gets lots of attention. Leather seats were redone with Porsche soft as butter leather to match car color exterior. Custom decorative stitching on doors and seats. New carpeting throughout cabin. Extra sound deadening to make car roar outside but pretty quiet inside the cabin. Car runs great and is sound inside and out. Corvette is garage kept and not driven in inclement weather. Additional features of the car include automatic transmission, air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power brakes, tinted glass, removable roof panels, tilt telescoping steering wheel, and sport mirors.
