this is a 1977 greenwood widebody corvette. i bought it 5 years ago as a project car. the front end had been wrecked and the original motor missing. since then i have done a frame off rebuild with the following. ford 9" posi rear end on a custom 4 link coilover suspension, transverse composite leaf front suspension (set up for imsa and road courses), 4 speed w/hurst shifter, hooker header/sidepipes, cragar ss wheels, mickey thompson tires (left front has a rubbed spot), fresh silver paint, 350 LT-1 motor with fastburn vortec heads, gm alum intake, gm #12480002 cam/kit, holley carb, vertex ignition, pete jackson gear drive, and much more. has 2 sets of racing headlamps (round and rectangular). interior is there but not installed (new carpet & door panels). new windsheild.
now the bad. the car sat in a body shop for over a year. i paid a suprise visit and was more than alittle irate when i saw that nothing had been done for quite a while (and i had paid up front), the front fenders haven't been bolted down behind the wheels, it may need new power window switches, and a few other minor things. i've got about 200 miles on it, just going to the shop and such. starts right up, perfect alignment, stops well, and a real attention getter. over $25k invested. my loss is you gain. |
