This is a PROJECT car. It's not going to win any races or contests but it has great potential. It is a 1971 Chevy Corvette. It was originally a 454 big block engine but someone before me took that out and put in a 350. The engine runs well. It could use a tune up I'm sure but overall it runs good. It has a 4 speed manual M20 transmission. This baby is ready for a 454 to be put back in. It's a targa top. I have the tops and the original top bags. The body is generally good but there are several places it needs a bit of fiberglass work. The cockpit is a different story. About a year ago I got ambitious and pulled out the diver's side of the car. This includes the dash, steering column, master cylinder and a few other things. So currently the car is NOT drivable but I have all the parts to make it so. Just need a bit of time. I know it looks intimidating but it' really a pretty simple car to work on. I've done a bit of work to the car. The headlight vacuum actuators are new and I rebuilt all of the linkages for the headlights. Just need to plumb in the vacuum lines. I also had the gauges professionally rebuilt. I have a "Hydraboost" power brake booster installed but it needs to have the hoses run to the power steering pump. I have a lot fo extra parts (weather stripping kit, dash screw set etc..) plus a LOT of original GM service manuals that are GREAT when restoring these cars.
