| The best way to describe this Vette is that it is a work in progress, the engine is not original although I do have the original numbers matching block if so desired. The current engine is a typical sbc 350, runs quite well and starts easily and idles smooth. Current motor has a Holley 600 carburetor, a mild camshaft and Hooker full length ceramic coated headers and all new exhaust pipe connected to new flowmaster mufflers. An HEI ignition was used in place of the dual point tach drive distributor that will also be included with the car. This car was an original 4 speed Vette that was converted long ago by previous owner to a correct Vette th400 automatic along with correct shifter. The clutch pedal is still in car, however any other 4 speed parts are long gone. Now for body and paint. I suspect at sometime in past the front clip was replaced, along with the hood that appears to be from a 427 car, some fiberglass is cracked and seperating on passenger side fender. Most of the trim is missing along with the windshield wiper panel, which is available reproduction, a side vent that is missing from driver fender I have. The headlights doors will not rise on their own nor will the wipers. The brakes may need work as these delco morraine calipers SUCK and have been replaced a few times. 55,338 miles from the odometer. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is G18. October 23, 2009. |
