Posted 12/28/2018 1968 Corvette Stingray Convertible Go Speed-racer Go! In the interest of fun, we added the iconic vinyl 'M' across the long hood of this C3 and the '5' on both doors. This is really a cool car! A 1968 Stingray Convertible 327ci 350HP with a NUMBERS MATCHING DRIVELINE. This Corvette has the old school Headlight Relocation kit that the previous owners had opted for a long time ago. They work great and add a Mako look to already a very sleek car. When was the last time you have seen the headlights relocated on the C3? There were a few converted as it was a popular choice for those whom simply weren't a fan of the newly re-designed larger pop up headlights or the slow and leaky vacuum process. It was probably done around the same time that the paint went from Red to White. The White paint does have some checking and multiple chips and that was another reason why we chose to make it into a Mach 5 tribute. We could have repainted the car but that would have added cost that passes onto the consumer and based on the mods already done we figured it already be a good foundation for something bigger if you wish.
