| An exceptional 1971 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. We are listing this car for a dear friend. The family has owned and cherished this car since they bought it in the early 70s! Never before offered for sale! This car has never had a restoration but rather just a repaint. The original color was Bryar Blue. The current condition is exceptional. The repaint was done 20 or 30 years ago and still looks great. Having never really seen any type of weather or rain in that same amount of time. The correct miles are only 19,361. You can see from one of the photos that the car has not been registered since 1987. I'm told that it was driven a few miles last year on a dealer plate and it ran perfectly. The numbers off the block are as follows; 12S500316 V0810CKW You can see from the pictures under the hood that it has not been cleaned or repainted anywhere. The original air cleaner has some pits in the chrome. Probably the only chrome on the car that really need attention. The rest of the chrome including the bumpers is in nice original condition with no pits or pealing. The interior is original and in excelent condition. Only the drivers seat shows some wear that you would expect on a 42 year old car. The convertible top is perfect with no rips or tears and functions as it should.The rear window is clear with no cloudiness or scratches. The tires and wheels are like new also. This incredible find can be seen by appointment only. It is located in Utica NY. |
