Up for sale is a 1981 Corvette I bought thinking I would fix it up but haven't found the time and lost interest. The car runs and drives, it is loud. The guy I bought it from ran straight pipes (no mufflers) he also removed the gauge pod in the center of the dash and tryed to install aftermarket gauges in it (it didn't work) so I am also including one that I got on ebay that also has a cd player. As far as the interior goes the seats are cracked, there are plastic trim pieces that are broken. The dash is cracked, the drivers door panel is in the back and the power window motor was removed to be replaced but never was. Exterior of the car is in good shape, the paint is chipped in a few places but you could definetly get by with it like it is. I just spent $500.00 @mjb corvette sales in Gainesville to rebuild the steering column but the guy has no idea what he is doing. He left a screw out of the lock cylnder and so you can remove it at any time. Also the horn will beep when you move the tilt so I unhooked the horn. p.s. DONT DEAL WITH MARTY. The factory carb was removed and an aftermarket Edelbrock installed but I was told that the factory carb was eletronicly controled and it needs one again to make it run as it should. The door pins have play and the a/c condensor compressor and lines have been removed by same guy that did straight pipes (idiot) but the body is solid. Under side looks good and is the reason I bought it but just lost all interest after dealing with the steering column. This car is for sale as is where is, come inspect if you would like. I have listed everything that I know that isn't 100%. I want to be honest. I have worked very hard to have great feedback on ebay. So I would rather you think the car is worse than it is and be happy when you buy it than upset that I didnt disclose something. The power steering belt was removed because the pressure hose is leaking. The vin# on the title is1AY8761BS429699 on the vin plate in the car it is 1G1AY8761BS429699. I don't know why the state of FL dropped the first two characters of the vin. It has a clear title and has been registered in Florida but ebay made me use the vin with the 1G at the begining this is the only reason I can think of for the carfax problem.
