| Total production of the 1973 Corvette Coupe was 25,521 units (all engine and transmission combinations). 1973 was the first year for the Federally mandated 5 MPH front bumper, the first with a fixed rear window, the first year with inner door impact supports and the first year without the LT-1 motor, which was replaced by the L82 (redesigned high termperature coolant recovery back-to-radiator system.) Updated body mounts and sound insulation was also new for 1973 which was the final year for the chrome rear bumper. The car is amazing and I get looks and questions everywhere I go. It has leather interior which is in good condition and also has t-tops for those summer days. NUMBERS MATCHING ALL ORIGINAL!!! The car recently just had a new gas tank, new brakes, new calipers and all new weatherstripping with receipts to prove it. The car does need a few things, nothing big at all just little things. It needs 2 new window motors, passenger side seatbelt doesnt extend all the way, small body chips in the paint which are pictured below and there is a small hose leak for the headlights to go up and down. The headlights still function and work as they should they just need a new hose to go up and down faster. |
