| 1969 Corvette Convertible, 427 Big Block 4-Speed. It belonged to a friend's father who drove the car for a long time, and it was his pride and joy before he passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's. The car has been in storage since then, for about 5 years, and it belongs to my friend and his mother. This is a 1969 Corvette Convertible with a 427 Big Block 4-speed. Before it went into storage, it had a professional paint job, and the color is Monza red. It also has a lot of new parts such as: new calipers, windshield, gas tank, exhaust, emblems. Lots of other new parts... too many to list. A lot of the interior was also replaced, and it still looks new. The seat covers look good, but over time during storage, the foam has become dry and could be replaced. They sit really good. The motor was a fresh rebuild before put into storage, and was bored 30 over. Everything in the motor was new. The motor since rebuild has about 2,000 miles on it. The car runs, but needs a good tune up. The transmission works good and has a new clutch and pressure plate. The tires are all good. The paint job looks good, but has a few scratches from sitting in storage. I helped my friend take it out of storage, and it has been polished and detailed. This car includes a new convertible top which will need to be installed. All hardware is in really good shape, and all seals were replaced. They are all still soft (not hard and cracked). The old top is still all one piece and intact. There is a spare tire underneath, but I'm not sure if it's the original. But it is a Corvette wheel. This car has a good clear Michigan title. Again, all of the new parts and professional paint job was done when my friend's father owned the car, and before it went into storage, and it does need a little TLC. It runs and drives, and we drove it down the road. 94,000 miles. September 21, 2008. |
