| Car history: |
For sale is a 1971 #’s Matching 4-speed Mulsanne Blue with a Dark Blue Interior Corvette. This car has just had a complete frame on restoration and is absolutely stunning! This car has its original #’s matching 350ci 270hp engine, yes ORIGINAL! The rest of the components under the hood are correct and numbers matching. The air cleaner is original and all the proper shielding is there. The engine bay has been restored back to original, with correct color coded vacuum hoses. The body is all original and in spectacular condition, the correct Mulsanne Blue paint is show quality. All the chrome is original and has never been rechromed, the bumpers look great showing some age and they definitely pass. The interior has been restored mostly by Al Knock. The seats were done by AL Knock and the door panels and carpet are brand new. The dash is original and in excellent shape for its age. It’s not faded and goes well with the new interior. All the gauges are stock as well. The fiber optics all work well as does the headlights, wiper door, and wipers all work. The only reason this car was not a frame off restoration is because it didn’t need one. The frame is in excellent condition, it does not have any rust and is clean and straight. There are new stainless steel brake calipers all the way around. This car has power steering. This particular 1971 Corvette coupe is an early production car #597. As you begin to examine this car you’ll notice that it has some 1970 parts on it from the factory, the expansion tank is 1970, both headlight buckets are 1970 because of the headlight washers, the driver side front grill is a 1970 front grill, and those are really expensive and hard to find. Just a lot of really cool things about this car make it a true Corvette collector’s car and a great driver with show quality.
