I have been in the process of restoring it, got a divorce and have to pay off some bills!! This is a 1969 427 4 speed T-Top car, yes it has a 427 engine in it, 1968 block, GM alum intake ect. It has most of the correct parts, tach drive dist, (this is not a parts car!!!!) this car is just about ready for the paint shop, I did the frame, pulled the body and blasted frame, painted, all new body bushings, complete suspention is new!! Including: ball joints, upper and lower A frame bushings, tie rod ends, coil springs, brake lines, calipers, bearings. All the hard part is done!!! New gas tank, all U joints, 1/2 shafts re built, rear end gone through. Radiator was flushed and cleaned. Alum over flow tank is MINT. Alum muncie 4 speed MINT, large shift linkage rods. The interior is actually very nice. it's not new but very nice, seats are MINT, dash is MINT, steering wheel is MINT, door panels are very nice, carpet is pretty good, battery tray and box is PERFECT, floors on this car are PERFECT!! All body mounts are PERFECT. When I got this car it had the new front clip on it, it needs to be finished, I was told the car was ditched so they put on a new glass clip. Absolutly no damage underneath! I have kept this in climate controled storage for the past 12 years, never seen any rain or snow! The windshield is cracked, (I might have another one). I have tons of parts for this car, new and used, what ever I have in boxes goes with it. I'm sure there are some spendy treasures in there. Trans # 925660 (P9817B) 19S735300 Tag on trans # 3950316. Trim code # ZQ4 900 Paint # P12. Bellhousing # 3899621. This really is a quality car that needs to be finished. I do have clear WI. title in hand! I got her running! Runs absolutly perfect! AND this may be the original motor. It is dated k/19/68, block casting # is 3963512, yea we all know that is a very hard to find motor! The clutch set up is brand new. Fly wheel is dated 69 also. THE 427 BBC SOUNDS AWESOME. ALSO THIS CAR HAS POWER STEERING, AND A FLIP DOWN REAR WINDOW, NO RUST, NO RUST. I did get it running last night, I put in a starter, fresh gas, a battery out of one of my other cars, adjusted the timing and off she went. Sounds awesome. The clutch is brand new also. I'm trying to figure out if it's the orig motor. block is dated k/19/8 and casting # is 3963512 there are some #'s on the pad on the front, but they don't seem like vin #'s. I know guy's re stamp the block, the pad has a ton of room for that. I did take the windshield out last night (cracked anyway), the bird cage area. Looks perfect, no rust what so ever!! The windshield rail looks perfect from end to end all the way down to the cowl area. August 11, 2010. |
